WATCH: Jamie Lawson talks about life after mainstream exposure, performs 'Wasn't Expecting That'

For a musician like Jamie Lawson, who's been at it for more than a decade, having to only recently come into commercial success provided a sense of relief, and an overwhelming glimpse into a life he never thought he'd experience.

And yet, despite all the accolades and co-signs by big names like Ed Sheeran, Lawson shies away from the celebrity lifestyle, and remains focused on the same thing that has kept him going since the 90s: making music.

It doesn’t feel like my life has changed that much — I’m just busy, and I travel a lot, and I get to sing, which is fantastic."

— Jamie Lawson, on life after a successful 2015.

Lawson enjoys simplicity in his life, but he continues to embrace the opportunities he's been given, and ones that he hopes to achieve in the near future. He's already been talking to Sheeran on a collaborative track, while he hopes to continue making music as much as he can.
