Biography

Born from hours spent in front of a computer in high-school when most kids his age then would be watching cartoons. The After-School Special is the electronic solo-project of Anton Salvador. With early sounds ranging from IDM, Glitch-Hop, and Abstract Hip-Hop to more recently Future Beats, Trap, and R&B he fuses all of that and drawing from his everyday experiences to make what he calls, “Introverted Dance Music”. Coming from the BuwanBuwan Collective, the first group of DJ’s/Producers from the younger generation of Filipino beatmakers to make a mark in the local scene. He is known for his sample based beats and remixes of local acts (tide/edit, Ourselves The Elves, and BP Valenzuela to name a few). He is also a DJ, having played at places like Black Market, Today x Future, Cubao X, and and most recently opened for LA based DJ, Sosupersam. His DJ sets are often full of Future R&B slow jams and bedroom tunes with the occasional heavy hitting Trap beat.
