The finale concert of the 4th WBAS Youth Band Festival showcases band students ranging from primary s chools to tertiary institutions. Hand picked via auditions prior to the Fes tival\, these outstanding young talents experienced a week of music making in a dynamic and exciting setting where they are mentored by musicians of t he Windstars Ensemble and led by conductors Quek Boon Hui\, Alvin Seville a nd Bjø\;rn Sagstad from Norway.

Also guest appearing in the concert will be the Windstars Ensemble\, a collective of Singapore'\;s finest musicians that is known to have garnered rapturous applause for its lyricism and beauty on the symphonic stage\, as well as gritty\, pumping po p rhythms since its inception in 2012.

Programme includes classic works such as Armenian Dances II\, Egil Hovland&rsquo\;s Fanfare and Chora l\, Toshio Mashima&rsquo\;s La Danse du Phé\;nix and new works such a s Ride by Samuel Hazo\, The knight of the sky\, The Cave You Fear by Michae l Markowski and familiar favourite Highlight from Les Miserables and the la test work from the New Sound in Brass series.
