Traversing a myriad of styles from John Adam’s minimalist Short Ride in a Fast Machine to Charles Ives’ bitonal explorations in Variations on “America”, and closing with John Williams’ grand yet thrilling Star Wars Suite for Orchestra, this concert promises to capture the zeitgeist of American orchestral music.
