Experience music in its most introspective and honest form in an intimate acoustic evening with singer-songwriter Leslie Low of The Obser vatory. Reflecting on our contemporary urban condition\, Leslie plays confr onting\, heartfelt anthems from his solo releases alongside new original so ngs in this unplugged retreat.
\n\nAbout Leslie Low
\nA music co
mposer and sound designer by profession\, Leslie Low is the former frontman
of veteran folk-rock band Humpback Oak and is currently fronting one of Si
ngapore&rsquo\;s greatest musical efforts\, The Observatory. His works stem
from the very basic need to express and frame his sentiments within an aur
al context.
Leslie&rsquo\;s first solo outing was an experimental instrumental album titled Volcanoes in 2005. He released his first solo al bum of songs Worm in 2007. In 2008\, Leslie made two recorded but previousl y unreleased albums available by web download\, A Walking Purgatory and Bla ck Book. Leslie&rsquo\;s solo work\, The Ground\, a special album by order only\, was released in 2009. He has also released Triangular as a limited r un live CD. Early 2014 saw the release of his second instrumental solo albu m\, Longing\, on vinyl only. He has since released No Such Thing as Ghosts\ , Child of the Island\, Nature\, Currents and To My Shadow.
\n\nActiv e in the experimental circuit\, Leslie is one-third of free improvisation u nit Snake Blood Union\, half of Magus with Canadian drummer Mark Dolmont\, and a member of doom foursome Meddle\, among other music groups and collabo rations.

\nShah Tahir has been involv
ed in various aspects of the audio and music industry for over 20 years.
As a musician\, he has played guitar on numerous albums for Singapo re and regional artists such as Dick Lee\, Kit Chan\, Jeremy Monteiro and S andy Lam. As a music producer\, he&rsquo\;s worked with many homegrown tale nts\, including Humpback Oak and Michaela Therese.
\n\nFrom 2009 to 2 015\, Shah was the audio consultant/sound designer for the National Day Par ade. He also lent his expertise to the 28th Southeast Asian Games. He&rsquo \;s been recognised in Singapore theatre circles for designing and mixing a udio for many major productions\, including 881 the Musical\, December Rain s and Dim Sum Dollies.
