Bani Abdul Rahman, Paul Daniel & Yani Salleh live at Esplanade Outdoor Theatre

Bani currently plays the bass at Le Noir with Syltra Lee and Mohd Noor. He also hosts jazz jams monthly at Blu Jaz and Artistry café. Co-founder of local jazz act Blue Monks with Corey Manders, they have played at various corporate events, weddings and Esplanade’s Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2012.

Paul Danial picked up the guitar at age of six. His love for ragas and the blues has evolved into a voice. After winning the 1991 Yamaha Best Guitarist Competition, he began working with senior musicians formerly from iconic homegrown bands like BDB, Flybaits, Gingerbread and Tokyo Square.

Yani Salleh is a singer and musician with club band Shaggies, playing songs from the top 40 hits.

What can the audience expect from your performance?
Sixties swinging guitars music, the electric clean reverberated and delay effects guitar sound. We will be playing blues and rock ‘n’ roll, covering Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, The Shadows and The Temptations.

What was your favourite song growing up?
The wind cries Mary by Jimi Hendrix

What are your favourite songs from the ‘60s?
There are too many to mention; songs like My Girl by The Temptations, Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix, The Young Ones by Cliff Richard, as well as music by The Shadows and The Beatles.
