Vibing off the low end of Velvet Underground’s frequencies, bassic has been chopped up, dissected and thrown into our bass-natured party blender and, in just two years, has powered through a varied sonic spectrum with guests like Scuba, Eats Everything and Andy C.
Come January 18, we will be turning all of two at bassic 2.0 and a proper celebration is in order as Simon Green AKA Bonobo makes his bassic debut riding atop the peak of his career. With over a decade spent working the underground circuit, Bonobo now has five albums under his belt, including 2013’s The North Borders, which climbed its way to the #29 spot on the UK Album Charts. A born musician, Bonobo - like many artistes - expresses himself most articulately via his music. The result is that his work is always keenly felt and always feels imperative. There are no wasted moments and always a myriad of great ones.
With support from William J and Jeremy Boon, bassic’s birthday party will be tuned loud for a boisterous, thunderous affair.
