DESCRIPTION:Set to be released digitally on iTunes and Bandcamp on the 21st
of March and physical copies available on the 22nd of March during the lau
nch party at the Esplanade Theatre Studio\, the band is excited to share th
e results of their hopes and dreams. Driving the debut\, self titled releas
e is their debut single\, 'Premonition'\, which a music video was recorded
for.\n\nFilled with both aggressive\, hard-hitting bouts and melodically po
werful passages\, the 11 track release promises to take the listener on a t
rip through the vast creative capabilities of the band. The various styles
of songwriting reflect this\, with tracks like the funky\, upbeat 'Cheeseca
ke' drawing a stark contrast to the epics that are 'Valkyrie' and 'Mannequi
n'.\n\nProduced and recorded over a period of 3 years and a few lineup chan
ges along the way\, the album is a result of fortitude and sheer willpower
not to let anything get in the way of producing the album. "It was tough\,
and many times I felt like giving up. But we were stubborn and it paid off\
," said lead guitarist and co-producer Jayme Lim. Recorded\, mixed and mast
ered by Mark Spencer with co-producers Jayme Lim\, Utha Kumanan and Eugene
Yip\, the album is assured to be aurally pleasant.\n\nDespite not having an
y prior material out\, the band has been playing many music festivals\, a t
estament to their ability as a musical outfit. Examples of stages they have
graced include Baybeats 2011\, NOISE Singapore 2011\, sport b. Asian Music
Festival 2011\, and a hat-trick of shows for IGNITE! Music Festival where
they were invited for 3 consecutive years from 2012 to 2014. With an Asia t
our in the works slated to begin in late April\, Bear Culture is set to mak
e waves with their debut release.\n\nBear Culture Debut Album Launch\nBear
Culture invites everyone to join them for their album release show\, to be
held at the Esplanade Theatre Studio on the 22nd of March 2015\, with guest
band sub:shaman. Expect an explosive performance as the band presents thei
r hearts on a platter for the world to see.
