No stranger to the concourse, Des will be performing new compositions & arrangements, as well as introducing us to his guest singers (Serena Sharrock & Crenshaw Yeo) who are accomplished musicians in their own right. A consummate musician, Desmond's background in classical music began with the violin at age two. Since entering his first competition at the age of four, Des has been a Concertmaster, finger style guitarist, pianist, and sing & play specialist, studying under renowned pedagogues the likes of Jean Callaghan, Amanda Colliver, Sylvia Khoo, and Peggy Tan. His compositions and arrangements have been featured at the Esplanade. He will be performing the music of Michel Legrand at The Arts House on 2 June 2014.
