Disini Presents—Here/Now

Join us in celebration of the launch of D/SINI, a brand new visual arts festival at Gillman Barracks that will span nine months and feature a host of programmes, outdoor sculptures and murals by homegrown, regional, and international artists. French-Canadian DJ and cult hero, Jacques Greene, will headline an all-night-long celebration at a party held in the vicinity of a fantastical pineapple-shaped pavilion designed by local fashion collective Mash-Up.

Greene will be joined by a host of other local musicians and DJs. The evening kicks off with a selection of live acts, curated by rapper, singer, songwriter and music producer MEAN. AE$OP CA$H and Unknown Radicals will show off their combined lyrical prowess, followed by acclaimed indie-electronic duo [.gif]. Rounding off the live performances for the night is NADA—whose signature sound deconstructs and reshapes popular Malay songs from the past—before Mean himself takes to the stage. The crew from Darker Than Wax will take us deeper into the night; co- founders FUNK BSTRD and Kevin Guoh (Kaye), as well as William J and Daryl C, complete the line up of stellar artists.

The celebration lasts all the way till the break of dawn, and of course, it’s not a party without some fabulous food and drinks. Camp Kilo Charcoal Club—the laid-back roast meats joint in Kampong Bugis that has fast become a favourite weekend hangout for many—will offer the best off their grills for the day. A variety of other F&B partners, to be announced at a later date, will also fuel the dancing for the night.
