DESCRIPTION:Chok Kerong’s ELEVEN brings together some of Singapore’s finest
musicians in a concert melding straight-ahead jazz\, soul/R&B and pop with
the textures of classical chamber music. For the first time\, Chok Kerong
presents original compositions with an ensemble that includes a string quar
tet and a woodwind section\, with special guest\, singer-songwriter Charlie
Lim. Possessing an ever-expanding palette of expression\, Kerong’s composi
tions encompass folksong-like melodies and harmonies underpinned by uncompr
 omising grooves.
