The songs, the stories, and all that you love about Elvis Costello.

From his raucous beginnings to his current-day reputation as a well-loved master songsmith and storyteller, Detour sees Elvis Costello presenting his songs and most vivid stories in a candidly retrospective solo performance that celebrates a musical career spanning more than 35 years.

Costello is perhaps best known for his performances with The Attractions, with which he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003. Also known for leading The Imposters and his concert appearances with pianist Steve Nieve, Costello has enjoyed acclaimed collaborations with fellow music icons Burt Bacharach, Paul McCartney and The Roots. This year, Costello is among the acclaimed inductees of the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Aside from being a respected performer in his own right, his songs have been recorded by a great variety of music artists, reflecting his own interest in a wide range of musical styles. These artists include George Jones, Chet Baker, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, No Doubt, Dusty Springfield and Diana Krall.
