Esplanade Foreword February: .gif

In the spirit of the Esplanade’s Foreword February, .gif will be including in their set sonic interpretations of, and accompaniments to, local poetry. Much of the duo's present work has already been inspired by various literature, with a number of songs from saudade EP and soma LP written in response to works by playwright Tennessee Williams, novelist F. Scott Fitzgerald, and filmmakers Kelvin Tong and Jasmine Ng. This February, .gif's performance seeks to marry the language of music and poetry, and simultaneously celebrate some of .gif’s favourite - and Singapore’s most talented - writers.
