Cadence is an alternative rock band made up of musicians who have been in the local indie scene for years, including three who are making their debut. The result is an energetic rock outfit with a strong emphasis on melodies and concise arrangements. The band’s music draws from an array of stylistic influences spanning everything from ’90s pop-rock to post-hardcore of the early 2000s.
At the heart of the band are duo Japheth Ng on bass guitar and Dominic Goh on drums, supporting the weaving interplay of electric guitarists Angus Sham and Nathan Huang, with vocalist Seth Chiam at the helm.
The band’s live performances are energetic and intense at times, but always hopeful.
