Prefacing her initiation into the local and international music scenes, Linying released her first single Sticky Leaves in 2015, gathering thousands of digital plays worldwide and charting on Spotify's United States Viral 50.
Primarily a solo project influenced by the moving lyricism of present-day poets and vivid music production, Linying's songs reveal their stark emotional perspective through elements of indie folk, electronica, and alt-rock. Her debut EP is scheduled for release in 2016.
In Esplanade's new instalment of All Things New, Linying, along with Evanturetime, will be showcasing new solo and collaborative work to be featured on the EP, and will be joined by fellow Singaporean producer MYRNE (Mad Decent) for the first time to perform their latest release, Silver City.
