Flying Syrup - Spirit of 8 (EP Launch)

Band Bio:

Established in 2003, Flying Syrup was formed through a mutual love for “Britpop” music between all members involved. At earlier stages of the band’s formation, Flying Syrup extensively covered various forms of rock music ranging from the more obscure, to mainstream, to everything in-between. The band cites Paul McCartney, Franz Ferdinand and The Kooks as sources of inspiration, amongst others.

Eventually, Bruce Nicholas (frontman and permanent resident of Singapore) took to writing original music for the group. In January 2013, Flying Syrup released their self-titled debut album, available on all digital platforms. The band held two launches, one at Home Club, and the other at Timbre. Since then, the band has continued to perform at various locations throughout Singapore.

Event Description:

We almost cannot believe it ourselves but we’re OFFICIALLY launching our EP (Spirit of 8) on the 3rd of DECEMBER! Lots of late nights, sweat and tears have gone into producing this EP - and everything is finally coming to fruition. More importantly, we hope that you’ll come experience the culmination of what we've been working on at Hood Bar and Cafe. 3rd DECEMBER, 8:30 PM, with UP-AND-COMING local band FXTRT warming up the stage for us. Tell your friends and family, come on down and we PROMISE to give you a hell of a show!
