Hot on the heels of his Taipei tour to support the launch of his second EP, ‘Arcadia’, Goose will cap things off on the 17th of August with a homecoming EP showcase at Singapore's most iconic recording venue – Lion Studios. The set will treat guests to the full-band sound that gives Goose its distinctive edge, while the venue's intimate setup will allow guests to get a candid glimpse of a musician and his talented friends in their element.
The follow-up to his debut EP ‘If I Left The Park?...’ features 4 tracks, and sees Goose’s sound evolve from the showier, brash tones of alternative rock to a more understated, introspective body of work. Despite being named for the lush untamed utopias that the word 'arcadia' has brought to mind since ancient times, the new EP's true origins lie closer to something like despair. Written from the perspective of one locked out from what he calls “paradise”, Goose examines the emotional toll of relationships that seem close, yet stay just out of the reach of true connection.
Once again, this new EP sees Goose interweaving the talents and presence of old and new friends he has made on his journey as a musician to document his everyday experiences in melancholic song. True to form, the showcase will feature special guest and local Mandarin original band NEKO Highway, whose groovy, quirky tunes and distinctive stage presence have caught the attention of many veterans in the Chinese music industry, including Taiwanese indie sweetheart Waa Wei.
Comprised of lead vocalist Kaye, keyboardist Sandy and bassist Claire, the band's 'Dancing Cat' has earned them fans in Taiwan, China, and Hongkong, with nominations in multiple award categories for the acclaimed Global Chinese Golden Chart Awards, and a coveted spot in the Top 20 Songs in the Global Chinese Golden Chart.
