in::music – PiA: Funny Way of My Life

In a life full of uncontrollable absurdity, we can only cling on to our sense of humour. Guitar in hand, Taiwanese singer-songwriter PiA shares her musical takes on life from her latest album 《我是比较幽默》 Funny Way of My Life.

With a fresh and down-to-earth personality that shines through her clear, warm voice and delicate articulation, PiA’s songs are ballads of everyday life, told through the sounds of rock, jazz, funk and motown. An independent Taiwanese musician who has been active in the scene since 2010, PiA, with her previous band, was nominated for Best Group at the 26th Golden Melody Awards in 2015.

Now flying solo, she has performed all over Taiwan, and also at Musix in Koza in Okinawa and other cities in Japan.
