Into The Woods: Sen Trio

Stroll along the enchanting streets of Paris by evening with sweet nostalgia in the air. Join violinist Lee Shi Mei, flautist Ke Yi-Chun and harpist Bryan Lee as Sen森Trio in this evening of honeyed and bittersweet murmurings. Théodore Dubois’ lyrical Terzettino opens this evening with saccharine incense. Dance your hearts to fulfillment in the familiar tunes of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s most-loved ballet Swan Lake. Peer into the last years of eminent French composer Claude Debussy through his Sonata for Flute, Viola and Harp. Conferred the medal of Chevalier (Knight) in the Order of Arts and Letters by the French government in 2008, the new composition of Paris-trained Singaporean composer Tan Chan Boon will be a special feature and world premiere on this French-themed programme. The alluring title of this piece is Quartet for Trio. Wait a second…Quartet written for a trio? How does that work? Find out in person!
