Christof Saenger and Jeremy Monteiro have one very important common factor. They have both played with Grammy award-winning saxophonist Ernie Watts, Christof in Europe and Jeremy in Asia. Their first musical encounter was in 2009 at the oldest jazz club in Germany, the Jazzkeller in Frankfurt where they performed together as a duet in a two piano show filled with exuberance and verve. The audience response was rapturous and they have been talking about getting back together to do a special project, the Jeremy Monteiro - Christof Saenger Organ Piano Trio project. The project will have its world premier at the Sultan Jazz Club on 3rd and 4th January 2014 and will also feature ace American drummer, Shawn Kelley.
