Jubilee at The Botanics

Jubilee at the Botanics (乐响绿园庆金禧) is a musical discovery at the Botanic Gardens featuring two free concerts during the weekend of 30 and 31 May, presented by Temasek. The concerts feature the Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO), with Tay Kewei and the Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO) with Amni Musfirah. The core objective of the concert is to instill the love for music in the community. Young maestros Assistant Conductor Moses Gay of the SCO and Associate Conductor Joshua Tan from the SSO will lead musicians in bringing you the best of local favourites and popular classics from their repertoires. Local artistes Tay Kewei and Nathan Hartono will be joining us during the weekend of musical discovery. Kewei will bring us a special performance of her singing and playing the erhu. She will also be performing a song alongside SCO, on top of hosting the entire event on 30 May, Saturday. Nathan will be co-hosting the SSO concert and interacting with the audience on 31 May, Sunday. Both Kewei and Nathan have been involved in Jubilee in various ways, including starring as the hosts for a series of web episode and interviewing the various musicians.
