Kilo Live x After Dark present Black Motion (ZA) with Maurice Simon

South African duo Black Motion, comprised of Robert Mahosana and Thabo Mabogwane, has been making waves in the industry ever since their inception in 2010.

Growing up in Soshanguve in the '90s when house was beginning to explode, the duo sought to differentiate themselves from other producers. While most producers wanted to replicate what they were hearing, Black Motion worked hard to create a sound that was their own—by using their languages, be that Zulu, Tsonga or any of the others in their music to make it clear where they were from. The two have been burning up dancefloors with their trademark cocktail of live percussion, kwaito and house.
