South Africa's Culolethu Zulu, better known as Culoe De Song, has been on the ascent since the release of his 2009 Innervisions single, "The Bright Forest," which propelled him to the worldwide house community. His noteworthy music releases on various labels is all thanks to his distinct sound of deep house, dribbled with tribal timbres influenced by his home turf.

2016 was a breakout year for him, as his ambitious second album, Washa, showed that his musical flair can be stretched across a wider canvas, in the form of an 80-minute epic that wove a post-apocalyptic folkloric tale into his deep house rhythms.
