Under the cover of night, Daryl C of Darker Than Wax has built up a solid presence behind the decks, delivering sonic chops by way of his signature funk, soul and jazz-infused deep house and a mixed bag of house and disco beats.
A regular fixture in the circuit, he has played alongside international guests like Peggy Guo, Denis Sulta, DJ Boring, Demuja, Lars Vegas (Detroit Swindle), Young Marco, Lauer, The Reflex, Kolombo, Sharam Jey, Anoraak, Cezair at all the main night spots in Singapore (Headquarters, Kilo, Canvas, Kyo, Loof and Velvet Underground – Dance), and at iconic festivals in the region like Bestival Bali, Neon Lights, ZoukOut and Urbanscapes.
With notable residencies at Kilo Lounge, W Hotel and Tanjong Beach Club, Daryl C keeps feet moving with his ever-evolving selection of tunes.

Introduced to sound system culture and pirate radio while living in the UK in 2008, an obsession with early Grime and Dubstep pushed William J to get involved in underground music.
After quietly building his tastes and skills for years, William J’s hybrid sound blends together a diverse range of styles, including Garage, House, Boogie/Disco, Footwork, Funk, Afrobeat, and a wide array of Hip-Hop and Beat music.
His forward-thinking selection, versatility, and diverse knowledge of dance music history brings a fresh sound to the vibrant underground dance music scene in Singapore. After joining homegrown collective and label Darker Than Wax in 2012 and moving back to Singapore in 2013, the past few years have seen William J helming a number of residencies and supporting international artists such as Kode9, DJ Spinn, Roska, Bonobo, Jon Hopkins, Ikonika, and Kutmah.
