This month, Music@Empress presents a whole new line-up of local artists for your listening pleasure, featuring performances by:

Sam Driscoll: A singer/songwriter who first found internet fame as the "angmoh" on YouTube talking about Singaporean culture. Sam slowly moved from comedy to music and got selected as a finalist in the NAC Noise Singapore Music Mentorship Programme in 2014, attracting the attention of many in the local music industry. He also took part in the local singing competition 'The Final 1' and made it to the final 16. Sams first sing, So Tired, is now out on iTunes.

Shak and The Baits: A growing household name in Singapore, Shak and The Baits debuted as a band in June 2016. Lead by local singer/songwriter, Shak, the band characterizes Shak's melancholic lyrics into danceable grooves. With various musical influences ranging from Soul, Blues, Folk-pop, Hip-hop and R&B, the group brings a palette of sounds that colour the world.

LEW: Inspird by acoustic and folk tunes, LEW started singing and playing the guitar at 13, and song-writing at 17. LEW has recently participated and completed the Noise Singapore Music Mentorship Program, and received the Noise Award for 2015.
