Join one of the most exciting young violinists to emerge from Ukraine, Oleksandr Korniev, as he presents his much anticipated debut recital in Singapore. He will showcase his skills in a programme of virtuosic solo and accompanied works by great violin masters from Wieniawski to Ysaÿe, as well as Franck's evergreen Violin Sonata, a gold standard of any violin-piano duo. About Oleksandr Korniev

Currently in the final year of undergraduate studies at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of Prof. Qian Zhou, Oleksandr has won accolades at the 2012 Mykola Lysenko International Music Competition, and recently was a semi-finalist at the 2015 Singapore International Violin Competition. Playing the violin since the tender age of 5, he had been admitted to the Kharkiv Special Middle Music School in 2001 and the Kiev National Music Academy in 2011. He has attended numerous masterclasses and performed as a soloist and chamber musician in Ukraine, Poland, Austria, Germany, Russia, Israel, China, USA and Singapore.
