 e when the Church of Satan was founded. The relevance of the date to the PU
 LP Summer Slam is due to PULP Magazine's early nature – controversial and g
 ory photo shoots were often featured on the cover. PULP Summer Slam is famo
 us for gathering more than 30 bands in its line up every year\, as well as 
 the 30\,000 or more rock fans who show up every year. Many rock fans from a
 ll over the country come to this one day show and dress in costumes or biza
 rre outfits. Often referred to as "The Slam"\, PULP Summer Slam has become 
 an annual tradition for rock fans in the country.
