PUNK ROCK REUNION

A celebration of some of the best punk rock bands to issue forth from the shores of Singahell. I remember punk rock being huge in Singapore from the mid-90s all the way til the early 2000s. Crowds were huge and show-stopping, the number of bands seemed endless and gigs were a weekly weekend affair, stretching all the way from the early hours of the afternoon (3pm) til last bus (typically around 11pm-midnight). Times have changed, music tastes have evolved, people have grown up and the crowds have moved on.

But one thing hasn't changed.

The bands have always been kicking it in obscure, dispersed gig venues//jamming studios//bedroom hideaways scattered throughout the island. And they still are.

In celebration of punk rock music in Singapore, here is our little ode to the scene - a homecoming, a reunion, a veiled protest, a nostalgic yearning for lost youth - whatever you wanna call it....this is.....

Come, party, celebrate, crowd-surf, mosh (pick each other up), pogo, skank, jump, dive - do whatever you want - this is punk rock and this is a celebration of our freedom.
