Rap battle karaoke is Singapore's hip hop karaoke night.
Come by to Refuge at 79 Circular Rd to hear some kicking hip hop tunes, have a few stiff drinks (the first drink is on us; you're welcome) and meet some cool folks. Singing is optional but whether you decide to rock the mic or hang back and watch, you'll have a great night.
How do I book a slot to sing?
You can buy tickets online in advance and will receive an email with a link to make a request. Or if you aren't sure until you're there on the night, please pop by the dj booth and make your request.
What songs can I rap?
We have a list of tracks that can be found in our MUSIC page. If you have any requests that aren't on the list, let us know! We'll do our best to add them.
Is freestyling allowed?
If you forget a verse feel free to freestyle but leave politics and religion out of it (imagine your gran is in the audience).
Can I bring my crew up?
If they're rapping, sure. Max 3 pax though (the stage isn't that big).
Can I drop the N-word?
No. Don't be racist, lah.
How will I know when it's my turn to sing?
You will be notified on your phone via sms. If you booked in advance, come 15 minutes before your slot and take a seat near the stage.
