Recollecting Melodies 《影视歌曲忆当年》by Ding Yi Musicians

Ding Yi Music Company will be presenting Recollecting Melodies at Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage, Singapore Botanic Gardens on 19 Aug 2018 (Sun) at 6pm. This concert features local singer and songwriter Ruth Kueo (魏妙如) first collaboration with Ding Yi, bringing familiar tunes from popular local television and movie productions to you.

Under the baton of Assistant Conductor Wong De Li, Dedric (黄德励), Ding Yi will perform familiar TV Golden Melodies including Strive《奋斗》from “The Awakening” (雾锁南洋), Good Morning, Sir! 《早 安老师》from “Good Morning, Sir!” (早安老师), Kopi-O 《情感联络站》 from “Coffee Shop”(咖啡乌). Audience can also listen to local movie-theme songs such as Umbrella from “Twelve Lotus”(十二莲花) and theme song of “I Not Stupid” (小孩不笨). Local singer, Ruth Kueo will also performed the widely- known Like a Swallow 《如燕》 as well as Accompany Me to See the Sunrise (陪我看日出) from local drama series “Perfect Woman” (完美女人) for audience to sing along.

Targeting the heartlands, evoking memories and advocating to the youth, “Go Local!” is a newly launched outreach performance series presented by Ding Yi in 2018. Hoping to influence and cultivate more appreciations towards Chinese chamber music through peforming reminiscing music, tunes and art forms to the community.
