Running in conjunction with Singapore: Inside Out, the SGMUSO Live Showcase was an initiative to extend and enhance the export effort of promising Singapore musicians internationally in a collaboration between The Music Society, Singapore (SGMUSO) and Singapore Tourism Board After a successful tour of Beijing, London and New York City in 2015, SGMUSO Live Showcase will make its homecoming return at Tan Quee Lan Street from 27th Nov to 6th Dec 2015, with live performances by Caracal, Charlie Lim, Pleasantry, SA, Take Two, THELIONCITYBOY and guest artist, Vandetta.
The homecoming showcase will feature all alumni acts (with the exception of Gentle Bones) with the added bonus of special collaborations with visual artists, NMA, SSYSTM and Amanda Tan/Empyreal.
The edgier acts of the SGMUSO Live Showcase project take centrestage. SA and Caracal are polar opposites musically and this diversity will set the tone for the Singapore leg to reflect one of SGMUSO’s core tenets: a celebration of music diversity. Visual collect NMA’s works will create an electrifying experience to complement SA and Caracal.
