ABOUT RICHARD JACKSON:
Regarded as one of Singapore’s top jazz singers, Richard Jackson was born Cincinnati, Ohio. He was raised in the influence of his father, George Colbert Jackson, a well-known Gospel singer and legendary Gospel acts and family friends such as The Fairfield Four and The Dixie Hummingbirds.
The year 2008 saw the release of Richard’s debut CD whose success has brought him to Singapore in the same year. Since his arrival, he has performed at Harry’s International Bar Boat Quay Singapore, the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit Bangkok with the Jeremy Monteiro Trio and at the recently completed Park Hyatt in the Shanghai World Financial Centre with the Donald Jackson Trio. In 2009, he shared the stage with Jeremy Monteiro, jazz legends Ernie Watts and Randy Brecker, as part of the Singapore Arts Festival to rave reviews.
