SMU Habitat For Humanity's Raise The Roof 2016
SMU Habitat for Humanity is proud to announce that our annual Raise the Roof concert is back! If you're not familiar with what this is, Raise the Roof is SMU Habitat for Humanity's annual acoustic concert and fundraising event fully organised by SMU Habitat for Humanity with the support of SMU, Office of Student Life, Centre for Social Responsibility, and Habitat for Humanity Singapore.
Each year, we engage local, talented singers to perform, and all proceeds from the fundraising (ticket sales) will go towards funding SMU Habitat for Humanity's local and overseas projects.
This year, we are proud to announce that our line-up of singers include:

Locally, we have Project Homeworks, which is the clean-up of one room flats for the underprivileged or disabled elderly in Singapore. During Project Homeworks, our student volunteers will help to clean and reorganize the homes of our beneficiaries as well as to take the opportunity to befriend them. Our volunteers are also encouraged to visit the elderly outside of the Project Homeworks allotted times.
We also contribute abroad through our Overseas Community Service Projects every December, and this year, we will be going to Yogyakarta, Indonesia, for over 2 weeks to assist the locals in building their houses as well as teaching life skills to villagers there.
