Gold. Love. The Curse. Wagner’s famous opera The Ring of the Nibelung inspired Grammy-winning composer Christopher Rouse’s Der Gerettete Alberich (‘Alberich Saved’), a fantasy for solo percussion and orchestra. It is paired here with Rachmaninov’s majestic Second Symphony, led by Andrew Litton.
