Stopgap "Totems" LP Launch

Stopgap, an indie-rock band from Singapore will debut their first long play (LP) album titled “Totems” at SCAPE* Ground Theatre on Friday, 4th December. The launch event will feature bad puns, visual installations, and guest performances by fellow musicians .gif and wyd:syd. Admission for the event will be on a pay-as-you-wish basis. “Totems” features original tracks such as: sold-out hit single “Crossing Swords”, which receives frequent airplay on local radio stations; "Run-Out", a song inspired by the boys’ own encounter with national conscription; and more. The quintet opted to record and produce the album by themselves, with the help of music veteran Saiful Idris of the now-defunct Great Spy Experiment. The album will be on sale at the launch for S$18. You can also pre-order the album online for an early bird offer of S$15. For more information, visit facebook.com/stopgapband for the latest updates. Known for delivering high energy grooves and delicate melodies, Stopgap was founded in 2011. After winning the prestigious Noise Singapore award in 2013, Stopgap has since gone on to play at alternative festivals such as Baybeats Festival, IGNITE! Music Festival, *SCAPE Invasion Tour, and Singapore Night Festival.
