Olivia Newton-John is still adored by fans globally after five decades. Born in Cambridge, England in 1948, Olivia moved to Melbourne, Australia when she was five. Her first big break was winning a talent contest on the popular TV show, "Sing, Sing, Sing". At fifteen, she formed an all-girl group called Sol Four. By 1963, Olivia was appearing on local daytime TV shows and weekly pop music programs in Australia. In London, she teamed up with her friend, Pat Carroll, to create "Pat & Olivia". Olivia cut her first single for Decca Records in 1966. Olivia's U.S. album debut, "Let Me Be There," gained her the Most Promising Female Vocalist in the Academy Of Country Music and a Grammy Award as Best Country Vocalist. In 1978, her co-starring role with John Travolta in "Grease" catapulted Olivia into super-stardom. Olivia hosted the popular "Wild Life" television show, and was bestowed an O.B.E. (Order Of The British Empire) by Queen Elizabeth in 1979. In the 90's, Olivia overcame her own battle with breast cancer, which inspired her album, "Gaia". Her personal triumph over cancer led her to create the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre (ONJCWC). Olivia also performed at the Opening Ceremony of the Sydney 2000 Olympics. In 1983, she opened her first store of Australian wines and she was also inducted into the prestigious Australian Music Hall Of Fame at the 16th Annual Aria Awards that year. Her own Gaia Retreat & Spa also opened in 2005. Olivia’s 2007 holiday recording, "Christmas Wish" is also recognized as the "Best Holiday CDs of 2007" by USA Today. In 2008, Olivia married "Amazon John" Easterling. In 2010, she appeared as herself in "Glee," and created another Top 100 hit with a new version of "Physical" sung with Jane Lynch. The release of her second book, LivWise: Easy Recipes For A Healthy, Happy Life (Murdoch Books) was in Australia in 2011. In April 2014, Olivia began residing at the Flamingo Las Vegas. In April of 2015 Olivia toured arenas in Australia with John Farnhm, with the show, "Two Strong Hearts." With her current and ongoing projects and philanthropic endeavors, Olivia's worldwide popularity is as strong as ever.
