About JNR Tirso (Matteblacc):
At a very young age JNR was inspired to become a DJ. And having been exposed to the early club sounds of New York Garage, Chicago House, Detroit Techno, as well as Disco, Boogie, Funk and Soul, it's no wonder that his love for these styles has defined his musical point of view. As one of Zouk's resident DJs, he would forge his influences with the most upfront sounds in dance music as he helmed the decks each week in Zouk's upscale House club, Velvet Underground. JNR's sound constantly evolves but yet at its heart, it's a rare blend of Deep House, Detroit Techno, fused with Boogie, Philly Soul and Tracky House reminiscent of the glory days of the Chicago warehouse scene
