Come 8 March 2014, Syndicate invades 醉红楼 (Zui Hong Lou) to play host to one of the most prominent producer/DJ from the UK at the moment, Om Unit. Fresh from his US and Australian tour, this beatmaker has been garnering global attention with his own unique blend of hip hop, drum & bass and Chicago footwork rhythms.
With releases on Goldie’s Metalheadz, dBridge’s Exit Records, Plastician’s Terrorhythm and Civil Music and armed with a sound that is deeply rooted in jungle and hardcore of the early 90s and as proclaimed by leading electronic music portal THUMP, Om Unit now ‘stands at the fringes of drum & bass, dubstep and future-gazing bass music’.
Prior to kicking off the party and keeping the Syndicate tradition for the search for new talents, another round of Beat Invitational showcase is set to take place to unearth more musical nuggets and gems all freshly made in Singapore.
