If you haven’t already heard, Headquarters by the Council is your new home ground that will play host to The Council’s signature parties.

Barker & Baumecker is the result of an intriguing collaboration between Sam Barker and Andreas Baumecker, and one that has produced some mesmerising results.

The duo’s development have always been closely interwoven with that of Berghain. The two of them worked together for the first time as talent bookers in 2008, when it came to the planning and realization of a concert for Autechre in the club. The success of this night ultimately resulted in the Leisure System events in Berghain, which have since regularly brought new forms of electronic club music to the Berlin public.

Since their debut release ‘Candyflip’, which touched on techno, house, trance, broken beat, IDM and dub styles, they have since established a clear intent to throw away the rulebook and write their own. Their continued efforts to consolidate the whole spectrum of the sound they represent comes through with their subsequent albums ‘Transsektoral’ and ‘Turns’.

Join us as we embark on a musical exploration with Barker & Baumecker, with which we will get to navigate the multitude of influences that have come to characterize and shape the duo.
