The Philharmonic Winds Goes Pop

Prepare to have fun at this not-to-be-missed concert. Travel around the world with The Philharmonic Winds as the wind orchestra brings you popular music from Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, the US and the UK in this special edition of The Philharmonic Winds Goes Pop! In this concert of highlights, The Philharmonic Winds' very own Ang Yixiang will take centre stage with his rendition of All By Myself, on the alto saxophone, the power ballad first made famous by American artist Eric Carmen and given a second lease of life when it was covered by Canadian singer Celine Dion. Marking Singapore's 50th anniversary, The Philharmonic Winds will also give a rousing tribute to two of Singapore's most renowned songwriters, Cultural Medallion recipients Dick Lee and Liang Wern Fook, whose music and lyrics have moved Singaporeans through the decades.
