Soham Bhattacharya is an Indian singer-songwriter whose music has got a mix of indie acoustic with a blend of country, folk, classic rock & pop.
Growing up with a musical family, Soham (also known by his stage name, "tHe soHam" has been exposed to the performing arts for as long as he can remember.
Soham started performing live gigs from his college days and within 3 years he has performed a number of shows all over India. He got featured on various TV channels like Channel V, MTV, Tara Muzik, Mon TV and TV Southasia. He was one of the few indie artists from India to be featured on a few indie radio stations in USA. Hindustan Times describes him as ‘One of the songwriters to watch out for in the future’.
In 2012, Soham was the finalist of Channel [V]’s Nokia Indiafest (for Acoustica event), where he got the opportunity to perform at the finale in Goa. Soham became the 1st runner up of Roland Talent Hunt Contest organized by Roland School of Music Japan.
Soham's music stole the attention of Angie Miller (American singer songwriter & 2nd runner up of American Idol) during her India Tour. 'LOVED IT!! JUST KEEP WRITING AND KEEP PUSHING YOURSELF FORWARD' - said Angie Miller after listening to his song at her songwriting workshop at Calcutta School of Music.
