Artist and designer John Fan is a specialist in illustration and lettering, aptly reflected through his work in branding, identity, and general design services. He founded creative visual outfit A Busman’s Holiday, positioning it at the intersection between modern application and nostalgia. Seeking new ways to present the vernacular, his style is universally communicable, yet always rooted in the cultural and situational. John’s work has been commissioned by various clients, publications and brands, including Starbucks Singapore and Hong Kong, Feiyue Asia, and Elle Singapore. Taking cues from the great nation and their signature exports of awesomes and not-sos, The Vault transforms your love-hate for Murica into reality, from Hollywood, New York and hipster-ism to capitalism, fast food and diner food fare. Wear your shades of Red, Blue and White because we’re dreaming big in a party of epic proportions to celebrate popular American culture.

PUSH feat Giuseppe G and Brendon P
The Vault makes the PUSH to bring you emerging music masters selected by our very Brendon P, who shines the spotlight this month on partner-in-crime Giuseppe G. Giuseppe grew up in Rome where his musical tastes were always ahead of the times – merging hip hop and R ‘n’ B with the rhythm, textures and beats of electronica. In Singapore he partnered with DJ SiFi to form (the lab), a highly successful collaboration that has brought deep and funky beats to those who really love house music, and he has also played at Podium Lounge (2012 and 2013) next to international DJs such as Seb Fontaine and Sander Kleinenberg. Giuseppe is known for creating sexy, melodic, deep, tech house mixes, and his sounds are fresh, non commercial and futuristic, so you can be sure he’ll be pushing some musical boundaries at The Vault tonight.
