Underneath the Roots

FOOLS AND FOES will be launching their independently-released debut EP Underneath the Roots. The five-track EP album features four original compositions plus a collaboration song with indie folk solo artist Happy Monday People. These tracks tell you stories about childhood memories, insecurities that come along with heart breaks, fighting one’s own demons and finding one’s self through somber, rhythmic melodies that dance between soft and blaring. Influenced by diverse bands and genres, Fools and Foes describes their sound as indie with elements of post-rock and folk. Nameless for the first few months, Isabelle Romualdez (vocals/bass), Miguel Querubin (guitars/bass) and Gabba Santiago (drums) would meet up for songwriting sessions inspired by their collective influences. Ralph Gonzalez (guitar) eventually joined the band and filled the missing piece for their desired sound.
