yawa - Straying Thoughts EP Launch

Returning after a 10 year hiatus, alternative rock act yawa is set to release a 4-track EP titled Straying Thoughts on 19th January 2019 at the legendary Lion Studio, the oldest running recording studio in Singapore of PolyGram fame.

Produced and engineered by James Lye (Bakers In Space, Gareth Fernandez, Ethel Yap, Coldcut Quartet), the EP features an eclectic mix of synthetic and organic sounds on top of yawa's idiosyncratic vocal performances. Mastered by Brian Lucey (The Black Keys, Royal Blood, Liam Gallagher) and artwork by Nigel Heng, the EP comes alive and is set to bring listeners on an emotive and immersive journey.

With indie rockers Bakers In Space and singer-songwriter Ethel Yap opening the evening with solo acoustic performances, yawa will be joined by Low Han Quan (Allura, Doves & Ravens, NCC) and mingzxc (Strangerfox, The Sally Suitcase) to perform an evening of original music in an intimate setting, at a historic venue.
