Sandara Park has spoken out following allegations made by fellow 2NE1 member Park Bom, firmly denying claims that she had been involved in drug use.

On 4 March, the K-pop star, also known as Dara, addressed the issue through her Instagram Story after Bom posted a handwritten letter revisiting her past controversy involving prescription medication.

“I have never used drugs. I wish her well,” Dara wrote in both Korean and English.

The brief message came after Bom shared — and later deleted — a handwritten statement on 3 March reflecting on her widely discussed 2014 drug controversy. In the post, Bom claimed she had been used as a cover to divert attention from alleged drug use by Dara.

In the letter, Bom insisted that the issue surrounding her was related to prescribed medication for Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). She also alleged that her case had been framed as a drug scandal to hide another incident involving Dara.

“It is not a drug. I am an ADD patient,” Bom wrote. “Sandara Park was caught for drug abuse, and to cover that up, they turned the medication into something labeled as a drug scandal involving me.”

Bom further appealed to the public to “investigate the facts,” and addressed several figures connected to her career, including YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun Suk, producer Teddy Park, and fellow 2NE1 member CL.

The post quickly circulated online, sparking heated debate among fans and netizens about the long-standing controversy.

According to Korean outlet OSEN, a close associate of Bom later said the letter had been written while the singer was in an unstable condition, asking the public for understanding.

“We became aware of the content shortly before this. As you know, this incident occurred due to Park Bom’s unstable health condition,” the source reportedly said.

Bom has been on hiatus since August last year due to health concerns. At the time, her agency D-Nation Entertainment said the singer would halt activities after medical staff advised that she needed sufficient rest and stability.

Fans across social media have since expressed concern for both artists’ wellbeing. Some also noticed that Dara appeared to have unfollowed Bom on Instagram earlier on 4 March.

As of writing, CL and YG Entertainment have yet to release an official statement regarding the situation.
