Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum announced that she will meet BTS at around 5 PM local time at the National Palace, where a balcony will be opened so the group can greet fans gathered below ahead of their sold-out 7, 9, and 10 May concerts at Estadio GNP Seguros.

The event came after a letter President Sheinbaum sent in January to South Korean President Lee Jae-myung requesting more BTS shows after massive ticket demand. Lee reportedly responded positively in February and praised K-pop’s role in cultural ties, a message that Sheinbaum read aloud during the announcement.
The news sparked major excitement among ARMYs, with over 50K fans congregating at the palace in just under five hours. The excitement was buzzing in the air as the crowd erupted into cheers when the septet stepped onto the balcony. The members were awestruck to see the huge turnout of fans there to support the group as they took pictures of the huge crowd excitedly.
