We know Stranger Things have happened, but it will never be as cool as Winona Ryder starring in the moody and edgy music video for A$AP Rocky's latest track, ‘Punk Rocky’ from his upcoming album Don’t Be Dumb.
Introducing Winona Ryder as A$AP’s groovy next-door neighbour, donning her sassy oversized sunglasses as she chomps on juicy blueberries. With a plate full of cookies as an offering, she joins A$AP and his band during their rager of a garage gig as she rocks out along with them. The overall grim and dreamlike aesthetic is not so far removed from the vibe of some of Winona Ryder’s work with Tim Burton, as he created the art for the album cover.
The music video is not at a loss for awesome guest appearances, as the band that features in the video is comprised of alter egos from his upcoming album Don’t Be Dumb. The amazing cast includes A$AP playing GR1M, Tommy Revenge as RUGAHAND, Thoto as BABUSHKA BOI, the Williams twins as SHIRTHEAD and DUMMY.
From sharing cookies with your awesome neighbour and getting in a fight, to getting caught in a gunfight and being arrested, this music video is a crazy rollercoaster of chaos and insanity. This new era of A$AP Rocky, complete with cinematic visuals, bizarre concepts, and definitely killer music, will certainly make this comeback one for the books.
