A State of Trance (ASOT) — the globally influential trance brand founded by Armin van Buuren — is making a major move into Asia, with two landmark debuts confirmed for June: its first-ever festival in Vietnam and its first official ASOT event in Hong Kong.

Together, the back-to-back shows mark a significant expansion of ASOT’s global footprint, bringing one of trance music’s most respected institutions to two of Asia’s most vibrant cities.

ASOT’s Asia run will unfold across two consecutive days:

  • Friday, 12 JuneASOT Hong Kong at AsiaWorld-Expo (click here for ticketing information)

  • Saturday, 13 JuneASOT Vietnam at Vạn Phúc City (click here for ticketing information)

Both dates represent firsts: Hong Kong will host its first official ASOT event, while Vietnam will welcome the brand’s first-ever ASOT festival.

First launched in 2001, A State of Trance began as a weekly radio programme spotlighting the best of trance music worldwide. Over the years, it has evolved into a global brand synonymous with euphoric melodies, marathon DJ sets, and immersive large-scale production.

Today, ASOT festival editions draw fans from across continents — and its expansion into Hong Kong and Vietnam reflects Asia’s growing importance within the global electronic music landscape.

Both Hong Kong and Vietnam have been confirmed as festival-format ASOT shows, rather than one-off club nights. Attendees can expect full-scale production, multiple ticket tiers, and the signature ASOT atmosphere that blends high-energy trance with a strong sense of community.

While the full artist lineups for both cities have yet to be announced, the two Asia dates form part of ASOT’s wider 25-year global celebrations, placing both Hong Kong and Ho Chi Minh City firmly on the international ASOT map.
