Adele is back and so are the tears.

Known for singing heartbreaks ballads that sends everyone into a fit of ugly crying, the renowned British singer-songwriter is back with her first album in six years, 30. Said to be her most honest album yet, the record revolves around Adele's struggles with divorce, motherhood, and the ever-constant changes of fame and life.

Prior to the highly anticipated release of 30, the 'Rolling In The Deep' hitmaker gave fans a preview of the album with her heartbreaking hit 'Easy On Me' which has topped major music charts all across the world.

Most recently, Adele also hosted a one-night-only concert in Los Angeles – which even saw a surprise proposal in the audience – where she performed old favourites and new tracks from her new album including 'I Drink Wine'.

This all comes before unveiling her heart-wrenching track 'To Be Loved' earlier this week via Twitter, all in anticipation of what many critics describe as "Adele's best album yet".

30 comes as a refreshing change of pace in a sea of TikTok trends-fuelled pop hits. In a recent interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe, Adele shares how she's purposefully straying away from making music that caters to social media trends and challenges.

"If everyone’s making music for the TikTok, who’s making the music for my generation? My peers?" says Adele.

"I'd rather cater to people that are on my level in terms of the amount of years we've spent on earth and the things we've been through. I don't want 12-year-olds listening to this record. It's a bit too deep. There are 30 and 40-year-olds that are all committing to themselves and doing therapy. That's my vibe."

To mark the release of 30, Sony Music has ordered half a million copies of the album on vinyl, reportedly sending pressing plants into overdrive. The new record is also available in box sets and physical CDs.
