Get ready to rock out to the ultimate showcase Filipino indie rock bands as Alternatrip and Catshelf Records bring a triad of musical powerhouses to Bangkok this April.
The lineup that's set to rock Bangkok this April features renowned underground bands Identikit, The Geeks, and spacedog spacecat to the stage, spotlighting indie talent on a regional stage. As part of the first show, Identikit and The Geeks will be performing on 16 April at JAM Cafe BKK.
Being one of the bigger front runners of underground noise rock in the Philippines, Identikit brings their searing musical sensibilities to the stage as they play evergreen hits from their debut album Out of the Floodways and Into Your Homes to their latest chart toppers from the recently released EP Champion of Truth.

The underground music pioneers will be taking the stage alongside the cult classic favourites The Geeks. Known for their slacker outsider aesthetic and lo fi melodic sound, the band have put out a number of well received albums including their 2022 record Sitcom Theme Songs which garnered numerous accolades and rave reviews.

Joining the Identikit and The Geeks during the shows at Marshall Livehouse and Blueprint Livehouse on 17 and 18 April is spacedog spacecat. The super band features members from notable Filipino bands including Megumi Acorda, Eggboy, Slow Hello, the Axel Pinpin Propaganda Machine and The Geeks, having unveiled their widely praised debut album Fuzz Sounds.

The 17 April show at Marshall Livehouse also spotlights local Thai bands Action Star, Wicked Lights, Dara Rasmi alongside the trio of Filipino bands who will be performing. While Playing Saliva will be joining the three bands during the 18 April show at Blueprint Livehouse.
Beyond their three performances in Bangkok, The Geeks will also be performing on 19 April in Singapore at Kopi and Spells in Clarke Quay.
With a stacked lineup of underground favourites and rising indie forces, this Bangkok run promises to be a vibrant celebration of Filipino alternative music on a regional stage. From noise rock and lo-fi melodies to fuzzed-out sonic textures, the shows spotlight the depth and diversity of the scene, while creating exciting new connections between artists and audiences across Southeast Asia.
